your city · 4

What is Sidetown?

Sidetown is a free visual portfolio for developers. It turns your side projects into an isometric low-poly city: each project becomes a building, its height reflects your hours, and its appearance shows whether it shipped, is in progress or was abandoned.

How many projects can I show?

Your city can show up to 24 projects. Hide a project to make room for another; hidden projects stay off your public city and share images.

Can I hide a project?

Yes. Hidden projects never appear on your page or your card.

What about private or non-GitHub projects?

Add them by hand. Private repositories are never read.

sharing and github · 4

What can I share?

Share your city with one public link, download a 1200×630 PNG card or a 1080×1920 story, and add your city card to your GitHub README. Each visible project also has its own page.

Can people explore my city?

Yes. Visitors can rotate your city, see project names and statuses, and open each building to read its story. Public cities with visible projects appear in Explore; unlisted cities stay out of the gallery.

Do you read my code?

No. We only read public repository details: name, description, homepage, dates, archive status and commit count.

How do you guess what shipped?

A homepage means shipped. An archived repo is proposed as RIP; a year without a push only asks if it's still alive. Everything else is under construction. You decide every status.

price · 2

Is it free?

Yes. Creating a city, adding projects, importing public GitHub repositories and sharing cards are free. Pro is an optional one-time payment that only unlocks extra decors, like the Mars base.

What does Pro change?

Only how your city looks: every decor, today and later, for one payment. Your city, page, card and GitHub import stay free.
